I used to be a die hard DiMarzio user, but as my tastes in tone have changed I’ve just haven’t been very happy with any of DiMarzio’s offerings. They've come up with a number of ceramic, high output pickups lately including the Dominion, Transition, Imperium, Illuminator, and of course the Titan, which all sound great distorted and clean. If you want an EMG 81, you gotta get an EMG 81, or maybe even a Fluence Modern. Just curious how the 57 Classics compare to the PAF Masters and 36ths output wise? I find the 57 neck REALLY muddy.
